Description
Laurent calls his genre French Vogue Punk. In his musical universe, the ardor of Punk meets the elegance of French chanson. His powerful compositions are full of emotion and authenticity. Born in Luxembourg in 1988 and raised in a bilingual FR/LUX environment deeply influenced by the richness of the languages and cultures that surround him. From an early age he learnt to play guitar and plunged into Luxembourg's music scene with the creation of The Disliked in 2002. From Punk to Ska to Reggae, the band is known for its dynamic and upbeat live shows. Following a collective decision, The Disliked opted not to embark on a professional career. Although the desire to be a professional musician was always with him, he continued to work as an industrial mechanic. Being employed in the steel industry for years, living a life dictated by social expectations, he finally finds the courage to change his life for music. After two consecutive years dedicated to the creation of his musical identity, Laurent will release his first album, entitled Unchained, on March 14, 2025 at the Gudde Wëllen in Luxembourg-City. With Unchained, Laurent celebrates his new-found freedom and his courage to break the invisible chains that have too often held back his true passions. He chooses to go solo, offering audiences an authentic performance driven by sensitive lyrics and playful energy. Whenever possible, he surrounds himself with talented musicians to enhance his concerts. The album's visual identity and stage set were designed by polymorphic artist Mina Mania. She enriches Unchained with her striking illustrations, offering another perspective and adds a powerful visual dimension to this musical universe. With Unchained, Laurent signs an album that resonates like a call to freedom, a personal testimony where authenticity and sharing are at the heart of every note.
